A little bit about Whittimere
The Whittimere Team of Will Croxford, Nicola Callow and the late Robert Greaves began with the Whittimere Norwegian Elkhounds in 2001; although Whittimere was established in Norwegian Elkhounds by Robert Greaves in 1985.
In Norwegian Elkhounds we have owned or bred 20 UK Champions (including 9 who have joint GB and IKC titles) plus an Irish Champion and one Canadian Champion.
In 2009 we were delighted that our first Finnish Spitz, “Rigsby” joined us from the Byrne family. Ch/Ir Ch Kunniakas Look No Further For Whittimere is a great character and a joy to be owned by. He was Top Finnish Spitz 2010 and 2011 and Robert's absolute pride and joy. At Hound Association of Scotland in April 2011, Rigsby became the first Finnish Spitz to win BIS at a UK Group Championship Show. And ended up being the Breed Record Holder, which is still standing to date.
In 2013, a Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier joined the team. Followed by Whippets in 2020.
We were members of the KC Accredited Breeder Scheme until it was closed by the Royal Kennel Club and our aim is to own and breed dogs with the necessary health, type, construction and temperament for the breed. We only breed when we wish to retain a puppy for our family. We welcome e-mails and friendship from across the World and hope you enjoy our new website.
